• Assignment 1 is a search assignment using Dialog. The assignment may be downloaded here when the course is in session. Help session is on Feb 4, 4 - 5 pm, in Rm 417.

• Assignment 2 [updated Feb 8, 2010] is a search assignment that uses two search services to retrieve information based on a client and search scenario.

• Assignment 3 is a group project that develops an online searching application.

  The Jane Prescott Memorial Prize is a Faculty award given annually to the student who achieves the highest standing in the course Online Information Retrieval.

  The Roger K. Summit Scholarship honours the founder of Dialog for his contributions to the field of information science.
